Kailynne Lee Chiu is a Taiwanese-American filmmaker—producer, director, art director, and actress.
She is currently a second-year M.F.A. candidate in Creative Producing at Columbia University’s School of the Arts, where she serves as a Student Fellow for the Artists’ Resource Center and works as an Admissions Assistant. She is also Treasurer of the Interdisciplinary Arts Council, represents Columbia’s student body in the Green Film School Alliance, and interns with the Producers Guild of America.
She received her B.F.A. in Film & Television Production from NYU Tisch School of the Arts in December 2023. She is the recipient of the 2025-2026 Indian Paintbrush Production Grant, the 2023–2024 Akhtar-Bhutta Production Award for Producers, and has contributed to award-winning projects including Double Happiness 雙囍 (2026), Century Egg 皮蛋 (2024), nothing, except everything (2023), Bentobox (2022), and Secrets (2020). At present, her producing projects Tailbone and Blueberry, is in post-production.
Outside of film, she is currently the Social Media Coordinator for Aux Merveilleux de Fred NYC, a French bakery and pastry shop.
